Dear Parents,
We are excited to welcome you to Aka•Demos for Middle & High School Students program. This initiative is part of our Spanish Mastery & Academic Support Program that is offered in a personalized online instruction one-on-one or in small groups (maximum of three students). The course is designed for learners ages 10–17 who wish to begin, strengthen, or advance their Spanish language skills at any level.
Our program welcomes three main types of students:
1. Beginners – students who wish to start learning Spanish as a second language from their current level, with a clear and supportive approach that builds confidence from the ground up.
2. Continuing students – those progressing from our Aka•Demos for Kids (ages 3–9) program who are ready to expand their Spanish literacy and communication abilities in a more academic format.
3. School support students – middle and high school learners who seek reinforcement for their classroom courses (Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4, and Advanced/AP Spanish) to achieve success in their school programs.
The first session is always evaluative, allowing us to determine each student’s language level, strengths, and specific needs. From there, we design a fully individualized learning plan tailored to their needs and goals — whether that’s learning the basics, developing fluency, or excelling in academic Spanish.
Lessons integrate the four core areas of communication — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — through engaging, structured activities. Students practice conversation, grammar, pronunciation, and comprehension in every class, progressing at their own pace while gaining confidence and fluency.
We use books, workbooks, and familiar classroom resources. Activities include real examples of classwork, homework, and projects to clarify topics, reinforce grammar, and build strong communication skills.
Support for School Spanish Courses
Aka•Demos also offers year-round courses specifically designed to reinforce the school curriculum for Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4, and Advanced/AP Spanish. These sessions focus on helping students:
• Understand lessons and grammar concepts taught in school.
• Complete homework, essays, and projects successfully.
• Prepare effectively for quizzes, tests, and oral presentations.
• Gain confidence in reading comprehension, writing accuracy, and spoken communication.
Our approach is both academic and practical — we guide each student step by step, ensuring they not only perform well in their classes but also truly understand and apply the language.
Evaluation & Progress
At Aka•Demos, assessment is continuous. We evaluate students weekly through participation, writing, speaking, and comprehension tasks presented in each lesson. Personalized feedback helps identify progress and areas for reinforcement, ensuring consistent improvement in accuracy and fluency.
By the end of the program, your child will demonstrate solid growth in comprehension, grammar, writing, and oral communication — ready to succeed in both academic and real-life Spanish settings.
